埼玉県越谷市About Mandarin Chinese "verb-copying" sentences, it is allegedly said that the first verb of its two verbs can be occasionally deleted. In previous articles, the question when and why this phenomenon occurs has not been mentioned. Since a language has its consistent system, obligatorily duplicated verbs cannot be arbitrarily deleted. According to synchronic and diachronic observation, verb-copying seems to be an obligatory process too. If so, the sentence in question (他汉语说得很流利) cannot be explained by the verb-deletion. This paper suggests object-preposing to explain this sentence. Objects are preposed when intensification or comparison is needed.
